Tremec says the TR-3650 has internal stops and external stops are not needed. If stops are used, and they are adjusted incorrectly, the gears might not engage properly and pop out.

Just finished reading this from the Tremec Sticky and wondering how many people are recommending this. If so, I will pull my stops this weekend.

This was covered a long time ago. You yourself hit on the main point... If they are installed incorrectly you will have problem. If you for some reason trust the "built in stops" by all means take them out. After a few hard shifts you could be taking it to Ford saying wtf just happened. Properly installed stop bolts will not harm your tranny... PERIOD!

i have the stops on my B&M and works fine. Just know how to adjust and it'll be ok.

Yeah, I saw that post and it kinda made me think twice. Just thought I would check. I have had mine Tri-Ax for 3 months with no problems. Also, never had any problems with my tranny.
