I'll be removing my trans this weekend to get it rebuilt. I was just wondering if the motor will be Ok on just the mounts or should I find a way to support it. The trans will be out for over a week and I need to move my car out of the shop to work on other projects. Anyone have an idea

I would just stick a jack slightly "bumped" against (underneath) the oil pan to level it out personally but I have did it both ways with no problem. But how long does it take to put a jack (with a piece of wood on it to evenly distribute the weight) underneath the oil pan and pump it a few times...? I would do that

uSE THE motor wiggle to your advantage when you are ready to install. Don't fight the tranny into the hole, align the motor with the tranny - and slip it into place - don't use the bolts to pull the tranny up - it must sit flush against the block without bolt - this helps you ensure the TC is seated correctly.
