removing window scratches

is it possible to remove scratches in the side glass and rear window with a electric sander or is that only for windshields? i have some scratches on my 67 fastback i would like to get rid of.

I don't believe you can actually "sand" them out but you can polish them to make them more transparent so they are less noticeable. Try www.eastwood.com for glass polish options.
