Removing window trim?

Alright, I am in the process of prepping my car for paint, and have to remove the trim from around the windshield and back window. Before I dive into it, I was wondering how its done, what is involved and if there are any tricks to this. Last thing I need to do is ruin the trim and have to spend even more money on new stuff.

I'm no expert but when I did it I was told I needed a special tool, but I ended up using two little flat head screwdrivers to work each clip off. Good luck.

click on link these are the tools needed to remove the trim this is an e-bay link but you can buy these tools at any parts store and if you damage any of the trim clips or fasteners the autoparts or local glass installers should have them too.

Thanks for the info, my friends shop (where we are painting) should have the tools. We will have to see when the time comes.

Its a reveal moulding tool. You need to slide it under the trim and grab one side of the clip pull out a little then pull up on the trim Then you need to go to the other side of the clip and do the same. Be very careful when pulling on the trim to make sure you don't kink it.
