pulled my injectors today.. 93GTosu came over and we got the timing set....

my injectors were all gummy..replaced them with a set for a 91 GT that a buddy of mine had...it has helped but it still has a miss...now i know for a fact the the alternator is no more...(ie not charging) so im thinking that not enough power is getting to the coil and thats why is causing my problem...

also it sounds like it is backfiring in the intake...like its not burning the fuel? this would be consitint to the coil not getting enough power? becasue it is just running off the battery...i think sunday ill replace the alternator and see what happens...

any suggestion? also Justin pluged in a scanner to my 88 and nonthing...wont light up...pluged it in to my dads...works fine..pluged it into his 93 GT worked fine...could my computer be ****ed up as well?

ive tried the paper clip thing and it didnt work!

I had the backfiring through the intake when I swapped the stocker for a TFS Track Heat intake. Turned out it was a leaky intake gasket. Have you had yours off recently?

upper intake or lower intake? when i did the injectors i replaced a couple of vacuum lines along with a felpro upper intake gasket...didnt take the lower intake off....maybe i should have :bang:

The leak was between the upper and lower. It ran like it had a huge cam in it and would backfire through the upper intake. I sprayed carb cleaner around the vac. lines, throttle body and intake. If you spray carb cleaner on a vacum leak, the idle RPM's will go up, but the backfiring will not go away until the leak is fixed. Good luck.

gasket is fine...when i bolted it back together i scraped off the old gasket and put the new one on.
