replacement door panels 71 mustang don't fit right

Bought replacement door panels from CJs and they don line up right

My suggestion then is to call CJs, you should be able to return them and get some that fit? I don't know about the '71, but earlier years have slotted holes you can slide the clips around in to adjust fitment to some degree.
