I want to replace a couple of plastic interior trim pieces on my 2001 GT: the piece that surrounds the radio, centermost A/C vents, and three switches; and the armrest area on the passenger side door. Does anyone know where I can get these? Can the dealer provide them? I tried Dave's Mustang Parts (in New Mexico) but they have not called me back. I have also been looking in the StangNet classified area but have not found anything. I guess I am a little obsessive/compulsive about interior appearance... there does not seem to be much of a marketplace for OEM interior pieces.

One other website that should have the pieces is www.fordpartsnetwork.com their prices aren't the cheapest but they tend to have most of the parts, the navigation is a bit confusing, but they should have all the parts. Hope that helps.

Yup, that is a very useful site. Thanks a bunch. I think they have what I need... but the only colors they stock are (supposedly) "black" and "parchment." I would not exactly describe the color of this part as "black." But I also believe there may only be two colors for this piece for 2001 models, dark and light. Can anyone confirm this? If so, maybe this is what I need. There does seem to be a slot on the site for a "charcoal" version, but it is not filled in for 2001.

The part number online is 3R3Z 6304338 BAB. Strangely enough, there seems to be a part number on my car, and it is 1R3X 6304302 ADW. But there is probably some difference in what's included (full assembly with vents vs. a less comprehensive piece). Ford part numbers confuse the he11 out of me... I have seen cases where the middle piece would be rendered as 06304338 instead of just 6304338, for example.

Any ideas? I will probably order 3R3Z 6304338 BAB and see what I get. I did put in a pretty detailed part request and that's what the person that responded suggested.
