Replacing Door Handle *PICS*

My door handled snapped off the other day so I have my new one and have started to take my door apart to put it in. Problem is I cant even figure out how to get the old one out. Do these triangular looking propellors have to spin to loosten? I dont wanna break them off beacuse the new handle did not come with hardware. Im not very savy with this stuff so any help would be great. Here is what it looks like.

Those propellers are part of the rivets. You have to drill out the center of the rivets. Be careful that the drill doesn't skip out across your paint. Charge that drill up good cuz it takes some doin'. When you put the new one on you can either use some 1/4 inch bolts with lock washers or you can take it by a body shop and have them pop the rivets in for you. The Ford dealer did my rivets for free. It takes a large rivet gun. Mine is too small.

my new handle from 50resto came with new rivets. I had to borrow my friends "big daddy" rivet gun in order to pop them in. Just drill out the old rivets, slide ur new handle in, connect the linkage, put the rivets in the holes and pop them in.

Yeah, just drill them out and pop some new rivets in. You should be able to get the rivets at a hardware store too, if needed.

Off topic*-Fast A$$89vert, I noticed your times are a lot like mine in the 1/4. Is that flywheel HP or at the wheels? My HP at the wheels is in my sig, with my times.

You need to drill out the 2 rivits(see arrows) Order the kit from 50 resto and replace both at the same time. It is easier. The rivits are larger then normal rivits so you may need to rent a large rivit gun or just buy the one from 50 resto for like $30. It is easiest if you can pop out the center of the rivit but that isn't always possible.

Just try to get the centers out it will be a lot easier. A new/sharp drill bit that is ment to drilling metal help a lot also(made the mistake my first time)
