Well I will finally be replacing my "Flintstones" floor pans in my 82. They should be coming soon. When I first asked for advice on this several months ago, I was told to install subframes to avoid the car from buckling. I will have a professional do the welding anyway but I just want to play it safe. I want to get "some good ones" with seat supports. I have been looking in the mags but would like advice. I am leaning towards the kenny brown chassis support kit ( strut tower brace, lower chassis brace, and super subframe connectors) but want to go with the best possible product offering the most support for about $300. I'm not asking for much huh.

Now for safety and looks, I want to go with the KB Super Street Cage. I LOVE THE WAY IT LOOKS plus being a t-top car, I like the idea of the extra safety.

Actually, what do you all think about the KB Extreme Matrix System.

"Maximizes strength with minimum weight and no loss of ground clearance: Kit includes: extreme matrix brace, jacking rails and subframe connectors" all for 299. I think this will meet my needs a little better.
What do you all recommend?

If you looking into subframe connectors, or any suspension products Kenny Brown is no where near the best.
Probably the best is a Griggs in floor kit, but definatly not needed for your car and wont work with stock seats.
Id suggest looking into Maximum Motorsports subframes. They have standard and full length if you want a little more strength.

My advice...Dont ever buy a weld on part that isnt the best. It is a PITA to grind off welds in order to replace it with a better product in the future.

Do a search on Kenny Brown here or go to cornercarvers.com and just browse around.
