I am pulling my tired stock 289 and replacing it with a much more powerful enging. I already ordered the supercharger which will be in by the end of this week.. Anyone have an idea on where to buy the long block and what type would best suit my needs of 600 RWHP?

What year 289 do you have? That might help us out. Also, why go with a 289 when 302s are a dime-a-dozen and a few extra cubes? Is it FI or carbed?

289? I'd call T&J performance or VT for a forged motor. What blower did you buy? blower specific to a 4V or a 2V? I'd get a regular aluminum forged 281 myself with ported heads and blower cams. You could perhaps try a 5.4 motor but youll need a big cowl. Dont bother with a stroker, but larger bore would be nice. I'm not sure they recommend the larger bore blocks for boost tho. Just call VT or T&J and tell them what you want.

I ordered the Vortech V2 S-Trim Polished without any aftercooler. Woops.. I didn't realize my type-o of 289.. yeah.. Its a stock 4.6L that I am replacing. Who's VT? I already spoke to Tim and T&J.

I am buying the aftercooler with the new long block... I am told that the S-Trim can support that kind of horsepower with the aftercooler or air-air.. I might go air-to-air cooler.. Test's prove that it cools air better than the liquid aftercooler..

If you want that much power, go with a '03 cobra engine.

if you ask Tim, I am sure he has more combinations than he can count that would get you to 600 rwhp

I know.. type-o... My bad.. There are just so many options for engines and heads, cranks, etc... Anyone know the approximate cost of an engine swap to what I am looking for as far as results?

Have you tried here or this thread? There's a guy looking for a 600rwhp set up similar to one Tim worked up.
If you're going to deal with Tim, his fourm is pretty good.
