So I had the car tuned today by Steve at Powertrain Dynamics and it put down 436rwhp uncorrected on 91 pump. That's 11rwhp more than it put down 70,000 miles ago. It was also hotter today with more humidity than the first time we tuned it. We didn't run it on race gas but Steve made the same changes to that tune as he did the pump gas tune. The only issue is that on our way home from the beach tonight the car detonated in the higher rpms when I got on it in 3rd. I have the base timing set at 10 degrees so I'm going to pull a couple degrees out and see if it still does. If it doesn't then I'll leave it alone but if it does I'll need to take it back to Steve and have him pull some more timing from the upper end.

Steve adjusted the tune so it no longer detonates. I also took the Cobra to my brothers shop Wednesday night so we could mount and balance my Nitto NT01 and get them on the car. While doing so I found that the passenger side axle shaft seal was leaking so I picked up new seals yesterday and installed them last night. The competition starts Monday and the only things I have left to do is change the oil and wash and wax the car.

yeah i watched the video, but you also own a mustang, when i mean a cheby owner i mean the "chevy is the epitome of all things and mustangs suck" owners are around here

You need to check out Motorgen and register. We're just a bunch of car guys who like all different kinds of car, trucks and bikes. Our last cruise was up Angeles Crest Hwy and we had about 50 cars. There were Mustangs, Camaros, Subarus, EVOs, Vipers, 911s, GTOs, SRT4s, etc. We also have a project car that we are working on that I built the roll bar for that's an RX7 that we are putting a roots blown 302 backed by a top loader 4 speed.
