Im looking into a 1969 parts car and it is pretty rough but the fenders are decent, Is there a way to determine if there original or aftermarket? What should i look for?

if they fit like crap, they are probably reproduction. thats how i could tell on my car. the drivers door and front fender had slightly different lines. but if they look too good compared to the rest of the car, they are either repros or some junkyard find originals. besides that, i dont know where a part no. would be on a fender.
