I will be parting ways with my '98 cobra this summer as soon as I zaino it and make it all pretty. I know I will get screwed on a trade in, so I am thinking about selling it private party. How much do you think someone looking for a cobra would be willing to pay? It is in excellent condition with 60K miles. K&N air filter, steeda tri-ax, and flowmaster American thunder catback. No mechanical problems or visual blemishes. I have done the kelly blue book pricing for private party selling, but I have seen them going for much more money lately probably because the demand is much higher this time of year. Thanks or any input/opinions.

Honestly, i would give you about $11-12k for it. my friend just picked up a red '97 Cobra (not as nice of a color as yours ) for $16k with I think like 18k-20k miles on it. Bone stock. That was a deal.

But then again, I don't know how NJ car pricing differs from yours.

I would say in the $15-$14k range, its a very rare color and people are willing to pay more for them.

I just paid $11,995 in MA for a 1998 Black on Black leather with 58K and I know someone would have paid more for it, it's got clean paint chrome cobra R's and borla cat-back. I think I paid a fair price.

I paid

3 years ago or so I paid 18000 with 28000 miles on it. I never grow tired of the color. But I do want some bigger rims to fill out the wheel wells

I payed $12,000 for my '97 black on black Cobra with 46k miles on the clock. But I agree with 5.0's4ever, you have a rare color, and I would say you could get at LEAST $13,000 if its in good condition, and $14-15k if its in mint condition.
