I would like to thank all of the people that voted for my car in the previous rounds. Thanks to you I'm in the finals.

It's now just my 69 Mustang CJ against a Yanko Camaro clone.

Now more than ever I need your help. I would greatly appreciate any votes you can make for my restoration or any one you can send to the site to vote for my car.

If I did this right here is a pic of the restored Car. It's not totaly done yet but it sure looks a lot better than it did a few years ago.

And here is a link to go register and vote. The voting ends midnight Sunday (eastern).

Looks like the voting doesn't start until 29th, so I'll have to wait, but I'm on it.

The voting is going on already. The voting for the first round started June 29.

The web site does some goofy things now and then. So you have to ignore it and it will let you vote.

Up until Thursday noon I could watch the vote. Then they turned it off. I was behind by about 30 votes at the time. I have no idea where it stands now and won't till it's over Sunday.

Are you kidding? That means there are about 31 people on Stangnet that need to show support for our favorite car. Come on guys, do you really want to see a friggin' Camaro win???? I didn't think so...

Thanks for your support. It's appreciated. But at this point I just want this thing over with. It's to stressfull and taking up to much time.

In a lot of respects I hope I don't win cause I just want it over with.

But again thanks for the support.

Quick question. I think you said you built your car. How long did it take you? I would love dearly to build a 68 GT500KR when I get done with the second 69 Mach I'm working on right now.

Mine took a long time (5 1/2 yrs) due to money considerations. I refused to charge anything
so it was built on the "pay as I go plan". It was also stripped to nothing and every single part is new or rebuilt with the exception of the C4 trans, which is getting replaced with a 5 speed this winter. If I can offer some advice, it's to shop for the very best fiberglass you can find. Re-doing fiberglass is less than fun if you do it yourself and downright expensive if you have to pay someone to fit it. Branda has a good selection and they're knowledgeable about their stuff, but my Branda stuff still needed lots of work. Just be prepared to deal with it.

Right now building the Shelby is a pipe dream. I would love to do it but I am not by any means a wealthy person. But before I can consider it I have to finish the 69 Mach me and my brother are doing right now. Plus I have another 69 fastback I'm not sure what I'm going to do with.

One of the big things in my faver for building the Shelby is I know where I can get a rebuilt 428CJ moter and 4 speed cheap. My biggest problem is I can't find a 67 or 68 shell that is restorable and not going to cost me an arm and a leg.

And just in case you didn't know I lost the Restoration Challenge. They said over 1300 votes were cast and I lost by 8 votes. I'm just glad it's all over with.
