Pulled the motor out of the car, and pulled the pan along with the oil pump off. Found the pump shaft, pulled it out, and pulled the oil pump. Oil pump is locked with a small foreign piece of metal in there. Pulled main bearings 2 and 4 out also. #4 looks real good, only minor scratches. However, #2 has a copper groove in it that you can feel when you run your finger accross it, and a small copper spot along the side. How bad off would this bearing be if it was put back? I plan on pulling the rest of them and investigating them all, but could this motor go one more year? The car isnt a daily, even though I use it for it sometimes to drive it. I have one more year until I am out of school, and I can build it the way I want it. Right now Im in a bind. Let me know what ya guys think. Before the head and cam swap, she made around 25 at hot idle, and very good at anything above idle. With the head and cam swap she improved a little till the oil pump locked up. Should I let her sit for a while or try her out and see how she does? Lot of work pulling a motor though. Thanks.
PS: If pics will help with judgement of bearings I can get em.
