Hell ya it was busy! Arrived there at 5:30 it took a hour and a half to get through the enormous line at TECH. Then 1 hour in line to race! My first run was at like 8:00 Frickin Brutal!!!
Then my stang runs like a pile of $hit because my rockers were too tight. A lot of valve float and some loud pops from the exhaust, followed by my hood shaking from the enormous explosion that blew my filter apart!
With my night and luck running short, I recieved some good advice and help from a funny car mechanic, got my rocker problem solved and the car was running awesome, only to find out that my headlights didn't work due to some unknown reason.
Overall a crappy night for me including a $200 ticket from highway patrol for pulling a U-turn and having improper equipment (no lights on the trailer due to faulty connection at the trailer wiring plug).
Anyways I hope next time we all have a better day with quicker times..
I heard there was a certain Mustang that laid down a solid 14.....then proceeded to lay down a bunch of oil on the track lol.
But Im sure he'll have a good excuse for both incidents...must be that ****ty dyno tuning
If only he woulda used the nitrous on that run, the burp and snort explosion woulda been HUGE! Or was he using the nitrous on those high 13 second runs? Hmmmm........LOL! That dyno tuning paid off I guess.
