Hey Stangers,

I only know about timing advance. I have the Predator tuner for my 02 GT and i need help with retarding the timing for more foot pounds. What should be done and how far should it go are most important to me. current mods are B&M cai with K&N,upper plenum,throttle body. all are step up from stock. had 373 but

327 are in till Spring.​

Torque is built with cylinder pressure which generally means advancing spark timing until the threshold of detonation and then backing it down a bit.

Be careful. If you go too far and use low-octane fuel you can damage the engine if the detonation that sets in is severe enough.

Have a professional write you a custom tune. NEVER try to tune your own car when you have no idea what you're doing! You could cause some serious damage.
