I have to switch exhaust manifolds on an engine, and the OE head to manifold gaskets have about 2K miles on them. Is it possible to reuse them and mabey coat them with a little copper spray? At over a $100 for a set I'd like to save if I can. Thanks.

$100 a set for gaskets? Summitracing.com has header gaskets as cheap as $11.39 for a 2V. They don't need to be the factory gaskets. Paper gaskets installed properly will seal just as well.

I've never had one burn before? They burn if the header isn't torqued in sequence properly, yes.

Sure, if everything is perfect, paper is fine. But in my experience, copper is more cost-effective.
