I have a manual shift valve so with the new motor I can pull a little longer. I've had it for 5 years now and it never went higher than 5200. So the 6al will rase the limiter with out the chip right?mo_dingo said:Are you talking about when the transmission shifts in each gear? Because that is set by the computer and you would need an aftermarket chip w/ dyno tune or a tuner program. That is called you shift point
If you stick the shifter to first gear, and floor it, it should rev to 6250 or 7k (don't remember which for your computer flash).
If you stick it in 1st gear and floor it, and the car won't rev past 5200, your computer is fuxored and you need a new one, or someone has installed an aftermarket chip & didn't know what they were doing.
