red wire = power wire
black wire = ground wire
Find your instrument cluster fuse in your fuse panel under your dash (listed in your manual)
and place it in the 'cold side' of the fuse. Meaning that power is only sent to that half of the fuse when you engage the headlights. Just tap one side with the bare red wire (after you've established a ground) and if the lights come on with the headlights off, put it in the othe side of the fuse. Hold that wire in place and push the actual fuse back into place. I still dont know wth that green wire thing is for. Look at the instructions..
