Hello,

I have a Tremec 3550 in my '68 fastback. I'm trying to find a stock-style plug that plugs into the reverse light switch on the transmission so I won't have to fabricate something junky-looking. Anyone know where I could find this plug?

Thanks!

good question. I would assume someone must sale one but I've looked and have had no luck finding one. The only place I haven't tried is the ford house.

look for a car that came with the 3550 stock. the only one i can think of is the cobra R, so you might have trouble finding one for it. other than that, whats wrong with just splicing the wires together and putting some shrink-wrap type insulation on the splice?

On my tremec the are no wires to splice into. I needed to find a connector for the plug that is in the transmission. Hey I don't mind rigging stuff up, but I need something to start with.

Same thing with mine...it has two small brass pins sticking out of the sender that look like the wiring harness slips over. I can fab something with some old connectors, but just prefered to find a stock-style harness if I could.

Thanks guys!

Did you try seeing if a harness from a T-5 will fit on the 3550. It sounds like the same thing as a T-5. A T-5 only has two brass pins sticking out and you plug the harness on it.

You can try Ford or a junkyard.
