Both of my reverse lights went out. My take is that both lights didn't just happen to burn out. So how do I fix this? Is there a switch that got fried or what?
Don’t assume that both bulbs can’t be burned. Out. Check both of them
Then check the fuse...

Then check the backup switch...
The Tremec 3550 puts the switch in the same location as the T5.
The backup switch wiring connector has 2 contacts that push on the 2 studs that stick out of the top of the switch.
The power side of the connector will be 12 volts anytime the ignition switch is in the Run position. No 12 volts and you have problems with a fuse or the wiring
The lights side will be 12 volts when the ignition switch is in the Run position and the transmission is in reverse. No 12 volts on the lights side and the switch is bad.

I just went out there, It's not the bulbs nor the fusebox #5 breaker. So I figure my next move is to jack the car and take a look at the#18 BACK UP LIGHT SWITCH?
Could it have jiggled loose over the dirt roads?
Not tring to take over the thread, its the same topic soo.....My back-up light switch isnt connected. Ive tried to connect it but it wont reach to the connecting part. Anyone know why this is? Im thinking ill have to splice in some wire to make it longer.....
I just lost my turn signals and reverse lights. I got the turn signals back, but no reverse lights.
I read your post.
I pushed in on a plug on the drivers side of the trans. and got my reverse lights back.
It's worth a try.
