Can anyone tell me where I can get new wire that is color coded?? I am rewiring under the dash and other components using a fuse block from a newer car (90's) style. Where can I buy it; I do not want to use the Painless kit.

Another good source for supplies and advice instructions:

I don't think he carries what you are asking for specifically, but he can surely help steer you in the right direction.

This guy specializes in hot rods and race cars. He'll talk your ear off if you call him, real nice guy, his name is Mark.

I stronly recommend that you buy a multi-meter and learn how to use it before doing such work. They are available at Radio Shack, Sears, etc. for around $10. If you do this work often, a god VOM, like a Fluke, is well worth the investment. :D

Aint that the truth :D He drives a pretty cool ranchero too (so he knows these old crap wagons)

If you call him have a notebook and pen ready cuz you'll get some darn good elec tech that you may want to note down.

Thanks all,
I found a source, they are sending out "samples" in 50' lengths for FREE!! They have 10 primary colors and the same in a striped version. I will be using #16 SXL high temp wire, and #14 and #8 for grounds and Power. My father is a PE so I have that in the bag and I have top end Meter (dad made me learn years ago when we restored up my first car ever (68 coupe).

Does anyone know where I can find OEM connectors. I really do not want to splice in bad ends if I can help it! I have a source for water proof connectors now, but that old stuff is very hard to find!
