What method did you use? Is there a way to do it without cutting wires?

umm guys i can run my fogs without the headlights and i didnt cut any wires.
All you have to do is switch the pin fro the fogs to the pin for the convertable top.
(THIS WORKS ONLY IF YOU DONT HAVE A VERT.) I did it and i run my fogs during the day and right before dark sometimes with the corners and sometimes not.
Corral did a write up on it.

The write ups caution against using the vert top and fogs at the same time, not that it cant be done to a vert.

If one uses the vert wiring for fogs, and the wiring switch is on the control side of a relay, it should not matter (we are talking like a 200 mA draw).
