someone should find the fost I started a while ago about what made you want a stang. There was a guy on there with a prelude who said he got smoked by one (95-98 GT)....well it ended up it was me that beat him and I told him it was a 95 V6 with 17" GT rims and dual exhaust...he felt like a tard I think.

Some people just don't get it. Maby he did smoke a 5.0, who know's how that 13+ year old engine with who know's how many miles and how many sensors are bad riding in limp mode, on six or less cylinders and fouled plugs. If they beat one of us stock, and they are modded, they have something to brag about, while, for us, to admit racing a stock civic or even a bolt on one is kind of like masturbation. You might do it, but it's not something you talk about.

You can call a terd an apple all day long, and convince yourself it is an apple, but you'll be back to reality when you take a bite out of it.

I had a look, and, well, just pure EGO'S. Off the wall, ignorant, ranting, it's sad.
I'm sorry I even clicked to see it, **** like that better get locked up here fast, it brings out the worst in people, obviously, and, does'nt solve anything, nor prove anything, all we have to rely on is our own. I prefer a good driver to a good car, everyone is entitled to like what they want and own what they want. But that was a display of absolute ignorance, the worst of human behavior. Compare this, compare that, what does it take to satisfy one's ego? Alot of people need a hug, sry tho, i'm covered in ****, next....

some 5.0s are slow, a poorly maintained stock engine,AOD stock gear car are slow.. Mine was when i got it! 16.7 lol u guys remember?
but compared to a regular old car or some civic, it was ok.

couple grand later i am at 13.9s and king of the street. haha sorta

i have riden in a lot of cool cars and i have YET to have been in a fast import. not even close to fast. Nothing compares the the torque of the v8, loud and puts you in the seat, feelin the power.

an import, a gay loud and sounds like **** and doesnt feel any faster as it revs

damn import guys go by HP #s ALONE. Sure your honda may make 200 horse, but wheres the torque? a stock 5.0 makes double the torque of any imports on the street.

5.0s fo life y0

o.k. since you guys asked...

I used to envy Stangs in a way that I wanted to build something that would beat the massive population of stangs in the Chicago area street scene. It seemed like everybody had one.

But, one day I was driving home from work in my 88 Ranger, and I saw a Maroon hatch sitting at a used car lot. So I stopped in to take it for a test drive and the salesman let me take it by myself. I beat on it pretty good and uh... I was blown away!! A week later I bought one. Every since then, I've been like a crack addict and 5 Mustangs later I am still a 5.0 whore.

Boring story. I'll bet there's a lot of better stories from the Stanget crew...

I'd like to hear 'em

Actually raced a mazda somthin or other last yr..and won . Well the wife told me after it was over, I was checking out my cooler than life new sunglasses in the rear view mirror while playin with the radio in an attempt to kick it old school. To be honest I never saw the other car...hell I'm perdy sure I started out in second and never saw the north side of 2000RPM...but the wife swears he was pounding gears and laid rubber off the line and one of his shifts....good for me. I wonder if that "race" made the Ethug 4banger race forums?
