Lately I just can't seem to drive happily.....everywhere I go I am passed by the obnoxious sound of a 1.8 liter P.O.S. car with fart can exhaust and various other cheap upgrades. What I further cannot understand is why these people have to advertise all their cheap upgrades by putting stickers all over their car....I can help but think..."oh yeah buddy that toyo tires emblem has gotta add 30 horses at least." I mean for real now come on!!! what has happened to people, they have forgotten what fast means. I mean back in the late sixties there was the judge a pontiac gto in which its designers would not allow anything smaller than a 400 CI v8 to enter the engine compartment. What has happened to those days...mid 90's hit and all of a sudden a honda civic del sol is a muscle car???????? come on now!!!! fast means back in your seat, deep throaty powerful exhaust, and rear wheel drive american v8 fun.....remember people remember!!!

The kids of today have some crazy taste in cars. I am glad I was born when I was. The fact that some people think these riced out cars look good is about the same as these model like girls I see with fat ugly guys. Im always like "WTF" in both situations.

i'm lucky that i'm 20 and was able to avoid the ricer craze, i admit i was tempted at times but the first time i drove a cobra i was hooked. econo cars with stickers just cant hold a candle to a v8 with nitrous

I saw a Toyota Echo the other day with racing stripes, stickers, and a huge wing! The really funny thing was that it still had the factory hubcaps on. That person must liked to be laughed at.

There will be a ton of ricers out this summer here, I can feel it. Their farting cars are thawing out, for some reason kids put their Civics away for the winter lol. I don't know what goes on in someone's head when they think a huge wing and fart can is a good thing?

thats b/c they cut the springs so much that the car almost scrapes the ground so when ever you get more then 2 inches of snow there front ground effects acts as a snow plow.

The thing i hate the most is when you're sitting in your car (or my girlfriends car due to my car being wrecked, my motorcycle being wrecked, and my license taken away... on account of 2 tickets 3 years ago... dang illinois) and you KNOW they're goin like 80-90 on a basic city road, and you KNOW if you had your stang you could just dump it into second and be up their ass in two seconds, but NOOOOOO, you're stuck in your girlfriends 2000 tiburon (nice car, not much you can do, or would want to do) so you have to watch the little flys buzz right on by like they're all that and then some, even though it took them 2 miles to get to that speed. They drive SO freakin recklessly. I hope God takes their cars away like he did mine!
PS A girl turned into me when i was doing 35 in a 35 through an intersection to totall the mustang
PSS Another girl cut in front of me with my motorcycle.... I"m ok for the most part
PSSS Don't live in illinois, they bite with their new under 21 rules about taking away your license
PSSSS looking for 94-95 GT with less than 100,000 miles in the chicagoland area
PSSSSS Anyone know what i can do to my gf's tiburon? civics already have to use their dang naws to beat her, but i'm thinking she should at least put on a cold air intake or something (PS, she is just learning how to drive stick shift and this civic guy actually had to use nos to beat her, lol)

The worst part about ricers is that they're unaware of their own exsitence as a ricer. You call them rice and they just respond with a confused look. Huh a whaa?

They are very annoying. GOD BLESS V8

I went to PC, FL last week for spring break and I saw a 99-03 v6 stang that had a bench wing, ricer body kit and worse of all, a fart can. The back bumper had two cut outs for exhaust but he only had a fart can on one side. BTW he also had a SVT symble and cobra emblems. It was pretty sad, I also asked him what was he thinking. i asked why would you put a fart can on a mustang, and all he said and i don't know.

I just turned 19 and i'm one very rare V8 lovers ... Few of the ppl I know , except close friends, loves V8 as I love them... All others are into Eclipse, Talon, etc... Small 4banger cars... I find em very ghey since i'm 6'2 I can barely sit in those... But whatever, I try to convince as many as ppl of my 'generation' to go back to V8 but they can't understand (some)

too bad...

Just remembered a conversation I had with a ricer at work...

This guy has a 93 Berreta 2.1L or something with an enormous hood scoop with a big NAWSSSS sticker on it, NAWWSSS seatcover, NAWSSS steering, everything is NAWWSSsSS (of course he don't have nitrous oxyde system in his car...)

Me: Yeah I installed my O\R H-pipe it sounds awesome!!

Him: Nice, what do you plan next ?

Me: Umm, depends on money... gears or cat-back I dunno..

Him: umm, don't you plan any bodykit ?

Me: uh... no... too expensive and i love the stock look...

Him: Umm ok.. whats yer next muffler size ? 4'' , 3.5'' ??

Me: WTF! That's way too much, i'll stick with 2.5''...

Him: Um ok, whats yer top speed ?

Me: I dunno, about 210 km\h...

Him: Coool, do you plan do add a "CHIP" soon ?

Me: ? to unlock the top speed ?

Him: Yeah man, thats awesome !!

Me: WTF, i dont wanna kill myself, I will never ever touch the 200km\h anyway, screw the chip...

Anyway, I could continue for hours... But that's a typical NaWWsSS ricer.

Kids today have ricers for the same reason kids today wear fake bling-bling.

It's all about appearances and perception, and in their little social strata, to be seen trying to achieve what they're emulating (even if they fail miserably) is better than not trying. You have to remember, this is the same group that follows MTV Cribs religiously.

OTOH, there's this customer who drops by work in a Focus w/body kit... no garish stickers or triple-toned paint job, just an understated wing, 17" rims and ground effects. You might have called it "subtle rice", except he and his mechanic buddies dropped in a 302 pushrod. I have yet to figure out how they fit that big engine in that little car, but it flies.

I like fast cars. I don't particularly car for a Japanese/Korean/whatever car, but if it's fast, you've got to give it respect. It doesn't matter what they've done to make it that fast, or what it looks like. Sure, and ugly car is going to get laughed at, but looks don't matter a bit to me.

A 400 CID motor, doesn't mean the car is fast. Look at a 2.0L AWD Turbo Eclipse. Those cars are quick, there is no two-ways about it. Look at a 455 CID rocket motor that they put in the GTO. That thing was garbage. I wouldn't take one of those if you paid me.

It's in epidemic...

and the government should intervene . I recently moved from Chicago to Orlando, FL and have been overwhelmed by the number of riced out civic hatchbacks. What's funny to me is how the majority of them huff black smoke out of their coffee can mufflers.

i have never really seen a riced out 1st gen 90-94 eclipse or talon, i actually like those ones because they are capable of running 12s with not very many mods. a few friends of mine have them and they are fast cars if you do the right things, just add a boost controller an your car is fast. some of the ones ive seen just usually have a nice set of rims and that is it, an most of them are all stock looking still. there not really a popular ricer car like a honda civic is. im buying one for my winter car just because they are fast and and AWD is good for the snow here in CT. im glad i grew up with the right idea of a real car in my mind though, that being a muscle car, believe it or not it was the dukes of hazzard that got me into muscle cars lol.i would watch the re-runs after school in 8th grade and listen to them talk about cam shafts and transmissions and have no clue what they were talking about so i wanted to learn and got into it more and more, then my friend got a mustang and that was it, i had to have one.

I once put a cage in a civic. The good thing is it needed it. It had a big turbo, and it was stripped down to almost nothing. Pizza cutters in the back, it was serious, and running low 11's.

That civic looked like a turd. It had the stock body with bad paint and the wheels were badly mismatched. It was cool because it had a purpose, even though it was wrong wheel drive.

I just go for cars that will run 11's, handle and look nice. That's a Mustang.
