I'm a little confused when some here say i'm running a little rich or lean. What are the causes? Effects? Fixes?

Rich means that you are dumping more fuel in the motor and your. Lean means that your dumping less fuel into the motor.

Rich= too much fuel loss of power and economy.
Lean= More power, more economy hotter combustion chamber temps.

If you get it too lean it increases the chance of detonation and you can burn valves and pistons.

If it is too rich you will lose a ton of power and possibly wash the oil out of the top of the cylinders.
