I bought the rivet kit from 50resto for the front bumper cover a while ago. Now, the rivets for some reason are a little too small when i put them thru the cover. I need slighter larger size. Does anyone know what size the 50resto.com one's are. I need to buy bigger ones?

Please help

Thanks in advance

Or 3/8's right?

Question tho,

like on sears site it has this " Craftsman 1/8 x 3/8 in. Rivets, 15 pk."

Does that mean the part I need to be 3/8 is 3/8?

Sounds like you need 1/4" Rivets and they require a special gun to pull them, you can snag one cheap from Harbor Freight

yep or even 3/8X1/2 but your gonna need a special rivet gun to do 3/8 rivets like shakerhood said.

When you say too small do you mean they wiggle in the hole and the Diameter is not large enough?

Dang, that shouldn't be so hard...

If it were me, I would have gone down to Home Depot and picked up some carriage bolts by now.

Paint the heads and it would look cleaner than stock...

If you do this, I want to see pics!!!

Do you mean use carriage bolts instead of using rivets?

What size carriage bolts?

They either dont fit at all or wiggle in the hole.

That is what I mean. Pull rivets are a pain in the @$$. I would prefer to buck rivets, and I really hate bucking rivets...

What ever size you need... I would guess 1/4" would be close

The beauty of doing custom stuff is that you get to make it up as you go...
