I need to remove the clips that hold the chrome rocker trim in place. They are riveted in, how do I get them out??

I like the rocker panels.

Since I am sanding and prepping for paint...I wonder if I really need to remove them since that area will be covered by chrome strips....hhhmmmmm?

For the cost of a few rivets and some time cleaning them.
The paint will look nicer without the line formed by the new paint too.
