Rod journal work does it change balance

I need to have my rod journals ground to a ..010 oversize. Will this crank need to be rebalanced.

If I had to guess, I'd say yes because you need to take an equal amount off the counterweight but I would ask the machine shop....they would know best

Most of the time guys go -.010 they do not balance it, it will change the balance job slightly. Ask your machinest....

So did you get ahold of some one at the company yet?

I won't be able to get ahold of someone until Monday.I have all the rods off now and the measerments are .006 diference and there not even round.seems to be about ..001..002 differnce when measured in a traingle.I,m looking at using panhandle machine out Florida to grind and balance the crank.Anyone know of anyone closer to NY that would be recommended.

you don't have a local place? most reputable machine shops should be able to balance it without sending it cross country

I have the machine shop that ground it originaly and i'm not excited about using them again and they can not balance.The other shop is donivan and there nick name is doneagain not much good words from people that have used them.
