Roll bar and Headliner

Hope to be getting close to the roll bar install in the 82.

Headliner cloth fell off years ago, but I left the backing panel.

Is it worth leaving it in for sound, or should I just pull it out?

Any pros/cons?

Backing panel does nothing for sound. I just removed mine a few weeks back. Sound is the same.
