Roller lifters and the "dogbone"

The dogbones are the ones pictured that are on the side of the lifter hold down. There are 8 of them.

Nope, its a roller block, already has the two holes drilled in the top of the block and whatnot. I have just never torn down or built an engine before and wondered what I need to hold my lifters in place. I'm assuming either of those parts I linked to would work?

ahh ok, your orginal post was a little confusing. Good luck to you, keep us posted. Yes either the comp or ford racing kit will work.

If your current motor is a roller block all of those parts will be there already. You can save the $$ and use the current parts.

Yes the linked pieces will work just fine, but why spend the money if you already have them?

yea that roller on the bottom of the lifter can only spin two ways, backwards and forwards, but it's oval, not likea ballpoint pen - (if you didn't already have enough info - lol i didn't read everyones replies)
