ok im in the middle of the same basic swap im using an 89 roller for my 83 gt you need a different distributer gear or a dist. out of and 85 mustang gt with a carb. if you intend to keep it carbed. 85 used a roller motor and was the last year for carbs so the 85 carb. dist has all you need.
