roller perches almost done....pretty easy!

before i start, i just want to say thanks to opentracker for the tubing.

here is the pic, this was a set from a 67 that was beat to heck, took forever to get the shaft out of the bushing. here is the process so far. i have the tubing all preped and ready to weld up. as john asked, i'll do a good write up on it and refine the page on my site about it.

question... how do you cut around the existing tube to get it out of the spring pearch. I see you have nice clean cuts, do you use some form of hole saw or something like that?

The post opentracker did long ago used a hole saw centered in a washer tacked onto the part

just wanted to share I went and made bushings out of bronze and found they did the job the same IMO.
also after thinking more about it the use of ball bearing really defeats its puprose in this form since it doesnt rotate 360degrees on a continuous basis. not saying either or is better, but that to each is his own.
