ok i am looking to change the rockers on my car to roller rockers. i have a cam in it with 484 lift with 1.6 rollers, and i was wondering if i could fit 1.72s with that cam. the bottom end is stock except for being bored .30 over, and new pistons. i have the stock heads. thanks for the help

My guess is that it would be ok. I have the F303 cam that has .512 lift and 1.6 rockers now. Its not so much the lift as it is the duration. Max lift happens when the piston is down in the cylender. The best way to be sure is to check piston to valve clearance with some clay or play dough. That sucks because then you have to buy head gaskets & stuff too but, better safe than sorry. Thats what I plan to do when I put my 1.72's on

What is the cam, do you have a grind or part number? GENERALLY you will not have a clearance issue with a cam that small as long as the duration isn't crazy, which I would assume yours isn't. Do you know what type of piston you have, how many cc's?

Whats the compression of the motor now?
