roller rockers

I have a 1994 gt and I just got a 306 from f-p-s, and I'm putting on some trick flow heads. I was woundering what I need for roller rockers. Valve covers ( what kind ), intake spacer ( what size ), egr tube ( what to do ), and any thing else you guys can think of.. thanks!

I'm also curious about the intake spacer and EGR issues, hopefully someone who has dealt with it can answer. Is the EGR tube the only thing that needs to be modified when installing a spacer?

If you dont wanna deal with all that crap and dont care too much about fancy Vc's then just use fox body VC's. THey will work just fine. THe stock type stamped ones...The fancy cobra, ford mptorsport, mustang powered by ford, etc. ones and stuff wont fit. Just the casic stock replacement 93 and below EFI VC's. Oh and if you cant find them used locally you can get chrome ones from FRPP. As far as that goes thats about as fancy as the get, unless you custom paint them or something...

and what about the egr tube, any mods you have to do for that or do the fox body v\c clear both the rockers and upper intake

I had to slightly grind the outside of the fox aluminum vc to permit the alternator to sit in the correct spot. A small bolt on the alternator impinges on the vc.

With regards to the EGR, I just cut it and connected the two ends with a short section of high-temp rubber hose and two hose clamps. No problems yet. BTW, I have a 3/8 spacer. With the stock hood, I had to remove the matting and cut some small holes in the reinforcing bars.

Why run a spacer? I have a Cobra intake with the fox valve covers and it fits fine. I did not have to grind at all on the valve covers. The only grinding I did was on the PCV fitting on the back of the upper. This also eliminates the need to do anything with the EGR tube.

That should be it. If I remember correctly, the GT40 may give you some additional clearance on the driver side cover, so you may not need to grind at the fitting. I forgot to mention, that with my Scorpion 1.6 stud mounts, I did have to remove the baffle on the passenger cover.

If you go with the Comp Cams Pro magnum rockers you can keep your stock valve covers you have now.
