roller rockers?

I visited this guy that my moms friend said had a 1990 blue mustang and we talked a while and then he said he has 1.7 roller rockers and he was like did the 89's come with roller rockers and i didnt know the answer. so do they? i just assumed that they did and that they came with the 1.6's.

The 93 Cobras came with roller rockers. Maybee he is thinking that it is a roller motor.

Only the 93-95 cobra's came with roller rockers from the factory. But, that doesn't mean that you cant add them on to stock E7TE (5.0 HO) heads and add a little extra hp from the cam.

The roller cam motors came out in late 85 that is a fact. the 85 is the only Mustang with a carb to have a roller cam.But that is not what you are talking about anyway.Sorry.

the 89 has stamped rockers from the factory. a roller rocker is a rocker with a roller tip on it. so no the 89 didnt come with roller rockers

which one is it? Do i have roller rockers or not?...i have a 89 5.0 LX.....

You have roller lifters, but not roller rockers.
Lifters are in the center of the motor, and touch the cam.
Rockers are on top of the heads, and touch the valves.
Lifters push on rockers with the pushrod.
As simple as I could put it so there is no confusion.

Yes sorry I would say he is right but the are both roller cam motors sorry to confuse.
