I have seen and heard some bad stuff about the Proform's, look into a set of Scorpions, they runs between $180-$200 and are a nice alum rocker, that many, many guys have good success with.

I too have heard some bad things about proforms. I personally would get a set of scorpions or FRPPs. I got a set of scorpions off the classifieds for like $160 shipped, brand new and very nice. Just remember you get what you pay for.
