Anyone heard anything about either a reinforced windshield or those pop-up rollbars for the new verts? I think even the new Beetle vert has the popups so they're available in cheaper cars now. I'm assuming rolling a 99-04 vert can't be much fun...
I would expect that Ford would do the same as 'most all convertible builders of today: make the windshield frame strong enough to hold the weight of the car, and therefore function as a roll bar. Hate to admit it, but it was a mere Chevrolet that started that.
Okay. That's different. I thought that you wanted Ford to build a frame bar. I misunderstood you. Sorry. It's okay for Ford to use the windsheild frame as a roll bar. I like that.
