Anyone use a Ron Francis kit to wire their car? I an looking at going either Ron Francis or EZ Wire and I see a lot of feedback on EZ, but not much on Ron Francis. Anyone use one let me know what you think.

I just wired my 67 with a ron francis express panel and can only say good things about it.Its very easy to work with and tech support was always on line when needed.regards javed
Did you get the mustang kit or just the express fuse box? Just wondering if the connector are on the harness when you get it and I was wondering about the plug the send to fill the firewall hole from the old fuse box. Thanks.
I have used Ron Francis and Painless. The only issue I had with Ron Francis is that you have to make ALL the connections to the fuse block. Look at the above posted picture. This can make for a loose or a disconnected wire. Painless's wires are directly conneted to the box. A much stonger and far more secure setup.
ron francis was the first to sell complete wiring kits to the public, with the wires marked as to where they go. as stated you have to run the wiring from the fuse panel to the load, and that does require that you make extra connections. and it does allow for extra locations for possible problems as well. but the ron francis kits are also very good quality and i dont hesitate i recommending them. just be aware that you will be doing more work than with the ez wire or painless kits.

I got the mustang kit. In the kit there is a metal plate with 2 holes with heavy duty grommets,this is held on the bulhead with 4 screws,The only connections i didnt have were for heater switch/motor and wiper motor which i made my own.Regards javed

What do you do about connector for the EZ kits? Do you cut off your originals and splice them onto the EZ kit? DOes the EZ kit come with any connectors?
if you are talking about connectors like headlight connectors, and taillight connectors, then you have to pull the ones from your old harness as i recall. however if you contact ron francis, they might be able to supply you with the connectors you need. in fact they can likely supply you with a complete harness custom built for your car.
