Just got a rotisserie for my 68 fastback project and I can't get the brackets connected to the car. I was wondering if anyone had pictures of how and where the connected a rotisserie to a 67-68.
Figured I would ask before I get the welder out and start "fixing" it.
Front I connected to the same connections as the bumper
In the rear I welded tabs to the tube and connected to a hole in the frame rail near the leaf spring connection. I can get a better picture later if you like
Well I was going to build one, but the first quote for the steel was $852. I revised my plans and went with a much simpler design and used only 2" sq tubing and the quote was $565.
I decided to just bite the bullet and buy a new one locally. I was $900 and it has the jacks on each end. I figure I can sell it when I'm done and get 3/4 of my money back out of it.
I built my own. I looked at a bunch of plans from the internet as well as flyers from the car shows and took the best of each that I liked and then drew up my own plans.
I also used 3/16 (vs 1/8) steel so mine pretty heavy duty. The steel cost about $500. I also went with bigger castors so it rolls around the garage pretty easy.
well i have easy acess to steel (good high strenght stuff) its drop from the manufacturing plant my dad works at in all shapes and sizes... and plus he is the purchasing agent so he knows all the dealers and can get good deals as well if i need specifics that is why i was gonna build my own... i think i have a way to get the jacks as well or something that will work similarly... the design of the structure is what i am curious about... anyone know where to get a set of plans or will i have to go break out the pad and paper on this one?

Google 'Auto rotisserie plans' and you should come up with some hits. Also look at the websites of the prebuilt ones and see what you like about them
They are pretty simple as far as construction, the hardest part is making sure everything is square so it doesn't bind up on you
