This morning I started idling really rough, and noticed it sounded like an awful lot of air coming in. A little later the service engine soon light came on, so I hooked up the sct and got these codes:
P0171 Sys Too Lean 1
P0174 Sys Too Lean 2
P1260 Thft Det Veh Immob

So I checked under the hood, and sure enough, there was a bolt missing from the iac, and it was half hanging off. I used gasket sealant on the gasket, and re-loctited both bolts so it is now as it should be, and started the car up and it seems to be idling ok, but the service engine light is still on, so my question is do I use the sct to clear the codes (not even sure if this can be done), and do I need to disconnect and reconnect the battery now?

Thanks...

Melinda, you can do it either way. You can clear the codes with the SCT or remove the battery terminal. I have done it both ways. If you remove the battery terminal you will have to reset all your radio stations and the clock.

It'll stay on until you clear the codes by unhooking the battery. I hate having to re-do all of the radio stations

BTW, hows the SCT Xcal2 working out for you and was it worth the money?

I listen to mostly cd's so it's not a big deal.
I think the xcal was worth it. I installed the tune with the tb and plenum, so I'm not sure which gave me the most power, but I definately felt an increase when I installed them, and I think it was worth it for times like this, when I was panicking over the service engine light, and I could check the codes myself, since I still don't know all that much about fixing the car.
