Well heres the problem... when my car warms up ( normal opertating temp)
my car will idle at 800 then it will drop to like 600 and then bounce back to 800 it will continuously do this... but only when the car is warm.... i have cleaned the IAC i have clean the MAF and ive reset the comuter after both of those..... so does any one have any input? bad IAC? bad MAF? somthing elses? thanks for the help

P.S. my car is stock and has 69km on it and i just replaced the plugs last summer ( bosh plat 4+ ... i know they are junk i will change them next summer )

welcome to the club i have the same year as yours and i've had this ****ing problem since i bought the car. i've replaced the IAC twice. it is NOT the IAC. I've brought it to ford under my warrenty 4 times. each time they say "it's normal". BS it's normal. i haven't tried replacing OR cleaning my MAF just got so tired of trying to deal with it. If you do a search on here for rough idle problems you'll find about 4329586 threads and not one with a solution.
The best part is when i stall in rev in a parking lot with everyone watching. Beginning to hate my gt cause of this.

actually, ever since i got my tune, my idle is beautiful. i had the same problem. changed the IAC, cleaned this, cleaned that, and nothing. i am using that new diablo revolution software and my tuner(DTP), said he could take care of it and he did. just something to look at...

especially when i come to a stop
drops down to 600
revs up to 800
then drops again

doesn't bother me 1 bit.

is the A/C on? the idle will be higher if the compressor is engaged. once it disengages the RPM's will drop. back and forth as it engages and disengages. Try turning it off and see if the idle stays constant.

No the A\C isnt on its to cold out to have it on.... and i never use it anyways
but it never did this till about a week ago...when it drops to 600 - high 500's it sound like the car is gonna stall out.... i heard that an egr delete might help the idle issue... would that be true?

it wouldn't bother me either JonJon except when it stalls. that get's embarrasing. I got a tune too but didn't help. going on a 2 year problem. i guess all that i can do now is start replacing parts till i solve it. $$ down the drain untill i find the part that fixes it.

I'm having the same problem except mine drops to about 400 and nearly stalls, the dealership gave me the history on my car when I bought it and it had the same problem last year, they cleaned the injectors and changed the fuel filter then,I guess it worked for a while.

they did that the first time i brought my car in. cost me $200. worked for about 2 weeks. adn yeah mine will bounce as low as 300 rpms, then the car really struggles to stay alive.

i know with the NEW Diablo Revolution software, they can adjust almost everything that is controled through the ecu. just letting you all know it solved my problem and i don't have to deal with the embarassment of stalling anymore. i hated that more than anything in the world. glad its gone. good luck to everyone else that is still dealing with it.

its new software that diablo recently came out with. you have to get the new chip as well. you can't use any other diablo chip with this software. actually, i think diablo is located somewhere around you(down south), georgia(sp) or South Carolina.?.?.? give them a call if interested... i am not advertising or anything, but i know it took care of my idle issues and i picked up a nice gain with my setup... i will ask the dyno i go to about diablo and where they are located.
