Hey guys, whats up...
Well I just got my car back up and running, got the timing set yesterday as well.
It runs fine, feels like it has power and drives pretty normally.
My one problem is the idle. It idles like its cammed, sounds pretty cool but it kinda surges too. If I come to a light it'll happen too. This morning it was pretty bad sounded like it was close to dying.
One thing I noticed is on the IAC valve...the connecter wouldn't fit with the new elbow adapter, I had to trim some plastic off of the side of the connecter, and it still isn't completely snug on there- but still making a connection.

So what do you guys think? IAC, EGR? No check engine light...should I pull codes for the heck of it? The IAC was never off of the throttle body. I probably still have some vacuum leaks to take care of, right now the ports are sealed off with electrical tape  haha.

Thanks for all the help guys
Joe

I gotta agree. The leaks really are not helping things, especially on an Auto, where the idle tends to be set lower (than a stick) so you feel every burp.

Good luck Joe.

You guys are probably right...its weird though it smells very very rich, like straight gas.
CE light came on while driving, stored codes are:

181 - Fuel system was lean at part throttle Single, Right or Rear HO2S - Fuel control
211 - Ignition PIP signal was erratic or missing - Ignition Systems
(I think that was because I was turning the distributor trying to get the timing set, I kept hearing the fuel whine up I guess the car thought it was cranking?)

KOER codes are:

172 - Oxygen sensor not switching - system is or was lean - Single, Right or Rear HO2S - Fuel control
136 - Oxygen sensor not switching/system lean Left or Front HO2S - Fuel control

Everything pointing to lean...lean lean lean. Vacuum leaks, here I come.

In terms of what I have hooked up,
The big fat line coming off of the vacuum tree is going to the port coming off near the throttle body, also where the regulator on the fuel rail is.
Theres another coming from the T near the charcoal canister going to a port on the back of the upper, and the PCV going to the rear of the upper.
Theres two ports that I sealed off.
