Does anyone know what the difference is in the heads beween 2000 and 2001.
I bought a Roushcharger off Ebay and Roush said there was no way this would work on a 2000 GT Automatic. BUT,,, they really could not give specifics.
They could not tell me what the difference in Heads is or what could be done to make the unit fit. Any information would be appreciatred.

One has windsors heads (2000) and the other romeo heads (2001) different assembly plants. But the sc should bolt on to either one. There were slight differences. Like how many bolts in the valve covers and size of the bolts that hold the timing cover on. The intakes are the same and that is what matters

If I put one on my 2000, I would be worried about if theres a difference in timing covers. If pulleys need to be swapped around or added, the bracket might not fit, or the belt setup not fitting because of the change in water pumps. You should go with a kit that will fit. New roushchargers for the 2v are expensive and it's almost guaranteed you won't get all the parts you need in a used kit. Save yourself time, money, and worries and get a kit that will fit your car.
