RPM at 65 mph on stock gears?

Hey guys with 03 GT's what are your Rpm's at 65 mph with the stock gear ratio?

In 5th gear on the Manual please?

And please dont refer me to a gear ratio calulator, i just want to know someone with stock stuff and what they are running at, i think mine is a little low, im only at about 1800 rpm, is that normal?

Actually, you'll find the modular (and other OHC) motors favor rpm's for more power and torque production.

3.27s as OE = Ford using up remnants of the Fox days and promoting fuel economy (ideally).

I think 3.27's were only used in some AOD 5.0's in the late 80's. And not very many got them.

Ford didn't choose 3.27's because they needed to use up stock. Ford builds hundreds of thousands of rear ends a year with 3.27's. It's not like they have a half million 3.27 ring gears and pinions laying around and decided well lets use those up. The ammoutn of capital and space that would burn up would be staggering. They get shipments of new parts as they need them just like the local grocery store.

They chose the 3.27 for some internal reasoning most likely connected to fuel efficency for the average person.
