Rtv for valve cover gaskets

I have some etc i was wondering if I could use that for valve cover gaskets or should I just go ahead and but the cork gaskets

If you are asking about rtv for valve cover sealing here is my advice, get some of those new rubber looking valve cover gaskets, skim a coat of rtv to hold the gasket to the valve cover and after a few minutes bolt the 'em down.
Don't use cork.

I second that. Get the metal ones with the rubber seals.

I installed a set a decade ago and never had leaks even after taking them on and off a few times

The felpro neoprene blue gaskets are the absolute best reusable gaskets you'll ever find. No rtv needed and they should be in stock at the local parts stores.

yea I figured just buying the gaskets would be the way to go i just know working on some of these newer cars they just use rtv to seal basically everything but thanks yall
