Is their any rubbing issues that might occur after installing the below driveshaft...and that is the correct part number right...

I have a 93 lx with a 95 T-5 transmission (auto to 5spd swap)...

Will this clutch cable work on my car...I have a UPR quadrant and firewall adjuster which will go along with my Spec Stage 1 clutch...if that matters...will this clutch cable be fine...

So long as that is the shaft for 86-93 cars (it didn't say the years) that driveshaft will work fine. It's tight, but you'll have no rubbing issues. We're running it with a 2.5 inch catback flowmaster setup with no problems

You don't want that cable, it's a junk adjustable one. Get the oem NON adjustable one. You can buy the oem ones from maximummotorsports.com, buyfordracing.com, and I think D&D .

Is buyfordracing a credable place...the driveshaft is $199 there...and also could you find a link to the OEM NON adjustable clutch cable on there...I couldn't find it...and why would I want a non-adjustable clutch cable when I have a firewall adjuster and adjustable UPR quadrant?...

Thanks

Yes, they are otherwise referred to as diversified, which have been around for a while. Do a search for diversified. I've never seen anyone having a problem with them.

here is a link for the cable.

it comes with a clutch fork too, but you obviously don't have to use that, they just sell it as a package deal. That's a screaming price, as ford sells the exact same cable for over $100.

Simply put, the adj cables are NOT built with the same quality as the oem style cable. Do a search on adjustable cables here and at the corral, trust me.

You only need an adjustable cable if you do NOT have a firewall adjuster. with an adjustable cable, the clutch adjustment is made under the car at the clutch fork buy adjusting the two nuts on the clutch cable.

if you have a firewall adjuster, then you don't need that. The adjustment is made at the firewall instead, by simply turning the firewall adjuster. This eliminates the need for an adjustable cable.

Oh...I seen that...but I didn't know that was the OEM price...I guess that is where I will be buying it from since it is a "good" site...

I have an adjustable cable I believe because it has the two nuts and a bunch of washers on it down by the clutch fork...

Since I didn't install the firewall adjuster or the quadrant I don't know much about it...the previous owner did it...so I'm good to go by getting that clutch cable (probably going to use that clutch fork...mis' well)...and installing it as long as I have the firewall adjuster...to go along with my Spec Stage 1...I appreciate it...

I had never heard of that place so I was a little skeptical...good to know about it :nice:

I have and FMS adjustable cable & quadrant and have had ZERO problems for over 4 years. Most of the problems with adjustable cables are in the installation.

The binding common to adjustable cables is often due to misplacement of the adjusting nuts on the fork end of the cable. This will also cause the cable to wear and fray. Both nuts should be on the back side of the fork so that the domed nut faces the fork and the other nut serves as jam or locknut to the domed nut.

Most people that install a FMS adjustable cable and have problems must have missed something on the installation.

for the DS, i would check your existing set up. IIRC, most alum DS's are a bit bigger in diameter that stockers. if you are rubbing now, i would not expect it to get better with a fatter DS. :)

good luck.

The only thing I would think that would affect the clearance is my B springs (looks stock really)...and caster camber plates...so it is pretty much stock so I would think it should fit...I hope so...I'm going to buy it anyways :nice:

I've got the FRPP alum shaft, FRPP C springs, and the Jeg's loop which is pretty tight. 2 1/2 off-road H to Flows. No rubbing and the alum. shaft is larger diameter than the stocker.

Make sure your motor and tranmission mouts are good, they can cause some flex which will result in rubbing. Energy Suspension mounts are are a good bet.

Which ones are lower the B springs or C springs...the B springs are right...I can't remember what the previous owner told me...it is almost stock ride height...

I dont' know how good my engine or transmission mounts are but I'll probably get some new ones anyways sometime soon...
