Normally it would not be recommended to run without the O2. It would result in a decrease in fuel economy and wouldn't provide anything in return.

However your situation is different. Your computer was programmed to run without O2's. (as far as I know the X0X computer is a non O2/emissions computer)
Possibly you could just plug in O2's and hit the street, but I am not sure on that.

If you want to convert to an O2 setup it should be easy enough to do, as the parts are readily available here in the states.

Jason, I'm not going to ask how you knew what computer he has. Ok, ok, I wanna play. I'm thinking of a letter - what is it?

Joking aside, I'm with Jason. I've seen some folks with more extreme combos (with A9* computers) run without O2's (or run in open loop at idle, if that's where an issue lies). For A9 puters, it should run in FMEM and be on the rich side, just like Jason noted. I know nothing of the hugs and kisses computer however so I'll let Jason help ya there.

Good luck.

No O2 sensors means he could run leaded gasoline. Crank the timing WAY UP and run some AVGAS! WOO HOO, flying low and fast

I got my info from an old thread...
http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=680372

JT- I will guess at the letter though... C?
It seems this computer already has a nickname - Hugs and Kisses
Isn't that cute...

JR makes a good point on the leaded fuel though. I am not sure if the fuel stations in Bahrain supply leaded fuel.

If so, that would kill any possibility of converting your car to A9*/O2's.

That is a pretty sharp black GT, wish mine looked that good.

Well, I can't see any reason not to convert over to an A9P then.

Do you have threaded bungs in the exhaust for the O2 sensors?

The other question is if the wiring harness is the same. It should be fairly close, but I am not sure how Ford would have dealt with the O2 removal. They may have capped the O2 plugs, or just removed them from the harness completely.

Maybe there were other changes made as well?

Here is a good source for wiring diagrams...
http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiB..._us/0900823d/80/19/59/5a/0900823d8019595a.jsp

If your harness is significantly different than the US harness, then it may be easier to buy a used US A9P harness as well?

Hope we're helping, and wish you luck,

jason

PS-
If you do go through with the conversion, I would be interested in purchasing your old X0X computer. It would be a great learning experience for me.
Regardless, I will help in any way I can.
