glad you got it fixed. It may or may not have been the radiator but the money is spent and it seems to be working now. I agree, a 160 stat is too low a temp and will actually make the car run hotter, as it opens to fast and does not allow for proper heat absorption in the block and in the dissipation of heat in the radiator. I prefer for most cars the stock 192 but on power adders I use a 180.
I hope you used distilled water as tap water has a lot of impurities and contaminants which lead to faster corrosion.
